
CFI Masters II Installer, Roland Thompson, of Kehne's Carpet One, provided some unique training on a new method of seaming broadloom carpet using "no-heat" microwave technology. Vice President of the Maryland and Northern Virginia Flooringcovering Association and an International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association (CFI) Master II Installer, Roland Thompson demonstrated the seaming technology. "It was a pleasure to have Roland on hand to demonstrate this new technology." noted Ralph Grove, Vice President of the CCA's Commercial Group. Over 30 were in attendance, which included installers and several Commercial Sales Professionals during a training program held at CCA on October 21, 2005.Since 1993, CFI has catered to commercial and residential clients to provide a source for Installation Specialists. CFI Installers are required to perform installations in accordance to the CFI Standards and Manufacturer's Specification. The Master II certification program, in particular, is the highest level of certification in the flooring industry. In order to receive the Master II level, the installer must demonstrate a level of expertise through oral, written, and hands-on technical testing
